KARACHI: On the call of Jamat-e-Islami a strike is being observed in Karachi, protesting the killing of Dr. Pervez Mehmood. As a result, roads in some parts of the city have been blocked by torching tyres, Geo News reported.
Unknown miscreants torched two pushcarts in North Karachi sector 5, while a truck was set on fire in Quaidabad.
Roads in Patel Para and Lee Market were blocked by burning tyres, while shops in the area remain shut. Protestors have blocked the road on Shahrah-e-Faisal near Star Gate, by burning tyres.
