CNG stations to remain closed on Ishq-e-Rasool (PBUH) Day

ISLAMABAD: Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) outlets across the country will remain shut in the protest against the blasphemous anti-Islam film, Geo News reported.

Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA), Ghias Abdullah Paracha, made an announcement to this effect, while talking to a press conference here.

“CNG association will not stay behind and join the whole nation in the protest as the sacrilegious clips have hurt the feelings of the lovers of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) all over the world”, Paracha said.

The chairman, during the press conference also demanded of the government to reduce Gas Infrastructure Development Surcharge (GIDS) on top of deregulation of CNG prices.

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Asharaf has announced to mark Friday as Ishq-e-Rasool (PBUH) Day.

The government has declared a public holiday on Friday in this regard.
The decision was taken in the Federal Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Wednesday to deliberate over the matter of anti-Islam movie and to mull ways to record protest against it.
