Malamjabba receives record snowfall
ISLAMABAD: All the land routes to Malamjabba stand blocked as it received record a snowfall with over 10 feet in the hill station on Tuesday‚ Geo News reported.

The Gallyat has been buried under 3 feet of snow‚ Kalam 6, whereas Parachinar and Murree are also under many feet after the latest cold snap.

According to sources hundreds of tourists have been trapped in the hilly areas, as roads remain impassable for they are under tones of snow. Putting up with subzero temperatures, they are forced to ration food and supplies as nothing is available around.

On the other hand Met Office said that the current spell of rain will continue in upper Khyber Paktunkhwa‚ upper Punjab including Islamabad‚ Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan over the next 24 hours.

Highest rainfall of 106 millimeter has been recorded in Chakwal‚ followed by 91 in Rawalkot and Saidu Sharif‚ 88 in Cherat‚ 75 in Islamabad and 73 in Rawalpindi.
