ISLAMABAD: The matter of acquiring jets by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) from a Qatar leasing company has turned controversial as a board member of the airlines Azam Saigol resigned from his post.
In a 3-page resignation letter submitted to the prime minister, Azam Saigol claimed that the matter of planes leasing deal is not transparent, adding that the affairs of PIA is being mismanaged and he do not want to be a part of it.
He further said that the board of directors didn’t fully take him into confidence over the deal for acquiring aircrafts from the Qatar leasing company.
