Moulana Thanvi returns to Senate unopposed

KARACHI: The candidate of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Moulana Tanveer ul Haq Thanvi has been elected as Senator on the vacated seat of Mustafa Kamal.

Director Provincial Election Commission (PEC) Najeeb Ahmed said here Wednesday that Moulana Tanveer was elected as Senator unopposed as other two candidates withdrew their nomination papers.

Official result in this respect will be notified later he said.
