MULTAN: The death toll has mounted to 17 from a boat accident in flood water here on Sunday.
The boat was carrying a wedding party when it capsized at Sher Shah area.
The bride groom named Zahid Shah is also among the deceased while the bride has been rescued from the water.
Search for other passengers who went missing after the sinking of the boat is underway.
Children and elederly persons were also on board the unfortunate boat.
Meanwhile, seven people lost their lives when roofs of two houses collapsed in a village in Hafizabad.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also expressed his grief over the loss of life in the Sher Shah boat tragedy.
