England 227 all out against India in 3rd ODI
NOTTINGHAM: England, after losing the toss, were bowled out for 227 by India in the third one-day international at Trent Bridge on Saturday.
Spin again proved England´s undoing, with India´s slow bowlers taking five wickets between them and off-break bowler Ravichandran Ashwin returning figures of three for 39 in his maximum 10 overs.

England captain Alastair Cook top-scored with 44 in an innings where only fellow opener Alex Hales and Jos Buttler, who both made 42, passed 40.

It wasn´t until the last over where tailender James Tredwell, who made 30 off just 18 balls, lofted Bhuvneshwar Kumar over long-on, that England scored their lone six of the innings.

World champions India lead the five-match series 1-0 after their 133-run win in Cardiff on Wednesday followed Monday´s washout in Bristol. (AFP)
