iOS 17.5 caused picture glitches in iPhones, sparking concerns among users. — Reuters

American mobile phone giant Apple has released a new update to fix a crucial problem encountered by a large number of users.

The earlier update in iPhones iOS 17.5 was released on May 14 in which the company the users suffered a problem when their deleted photos reappeared in the Photos section once again, reported GHacks Tuesday.

The new update is Apple iOS 17.5.1 in which the company said to have resolved all such issues.

After observing the issue on iPhones, people began to wonder whether their privacy was at risk and what could happen if their deleted pictures were retrieved.

According to a Reddit user, the issue appeared in March and the cause behind it was said to be the freezing of the Photos application while deleting because the data could not be properly synced and the photos kept coming back. They simply vanished for some time.

The user claimed that the bug was so novel that the tech behemoth could not trace it.

In the report, another user claimed that after communicating with a private contractor at Apple, it was assured that the giant was not saving the pictures of users on any server, reassuring that the data of the people is secure.

After the update, the iOS 17.5.1. log mentioned: "This update provides important bug fixes and addresses a rare issue where photos that experienced database corruption could reappear in the Photos library even if they were deleted."
