Pakistan invites Indian Foreign Secretary to visit Islamabad for Kashmir talks

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Friday called for putting an immediate end to the human rights violations against the innocent people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and provision of medical facilities to the injured.

Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry in reply to the letter of his Indian counterpart called for resolution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UNSC Resolutions, a statement from the Foreign Office said.

The statement said the Indian High Commissioner was called in today by the Foreign Secretary and a reply to the letter of the Indian Foreign Secretary was handed over to him.

The letter invites the Indian Foreign Secretary to visit Islamabad by the end of August to discuss the Jammu and Kashmir dispute with a view to finding a fair and just solution as per the United Nations Security Council resolutions and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan also called for putting an immediate end to the human rights violations against the innocent people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir struggling for their right to self-determination.

Pakistan has also called for providing medical facilities to the injured in the Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir including permission for doctors and paramedics to travel.
