KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Senator Babar Ghauri Sunday said that he had not apologised anyone for saying 'Pakistan Zindabad'.

Speaking to Geo News, Ghauri, who is currently in the United States had left the country after the law enforcement agencies intensified their operation in Karachi, said that he had tendered an apology not for saying Pakistan Zindabad but instead for violating the party discipline.

The MQM lawmaker said that the 'Pakistan Zindabad' tweet still exists on his Twitter account.

He said that despite pressure at a party meeting in the US last week he had not removed the tweet from his account.

Babar Ghauri maintained the stance in another tweet on Sunday saying that 'he stands by what he said'.

Earlier, some media reports suggested that the MQM leader had apologised the party chief Altaf Hussain during his address to party members in US for stating Pakistan Zindabad.
