Pak-Russia military exercise given prominent coverage in Russian media

Russian media gave prominent coverage to the first-ever Pakistan-Russia joint military exercise held recently in Pakistan and praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their skills and dedication.

The historical joint military exercise, termed ‘Friendship 2016’, was held in the mountainous regions of Pakistan where the Pakistan and Russian armies trained together. The Russian army also learned tips on mountain warfare from the Pakistan army which has vast experience in such warfare.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military exercise continued from September 24 to October 10. Approximately 200 military personnel from both sides took part in the first-of-its-kind exercise.
