Pakistan cannot be isolated in the world: Pakistan HC to India

NEW DELHI: Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit on Monday said how come a country that is the biggest victim of terrorism be isolated, adding that Pakistan would not be isolated in the world.
The Pakistani HC to India was delivering address at New Delhi’s Indian Institute of Peace and Conflict, where he said that all the issue could be solved between the two countries through negotiations.
He said that Kashmir is the bone of contention between Pakistan and India, adding that the 2003 Ceasefire should be made formal.
Abdul Basit said that blaming Pakistan for Uri attack is unfair as the country did not even know what was going on at that time.
He added that it is wrong to blame Pakistan for instigating those attending Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) leader Burhan Wani’s funeral.
The Pakistani High Commissioner said that he is glad that Karan Johar’s movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is out of difficulty.
The movie stirred controversy as it casts Pakistan heartthrob Fawad Khan. Earlier, MNS activists had threatened to vandalize cinemas which would show the movie.
The relations between the two countries deteriorated after escalation of violence in Indian Occupied Kashmir after Burhan Wani’s killing in July and the Uri attack.
In wake of these events, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi threatened to isolate Pakistan in the entire world.
