Abid sparks PPP-PML-N war of words

ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali slammed Pakistan People's Party (PPP) asking Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to 'bring his father back to country'.

"Asif Ali Zardari has plundered the national wealth and so his accountability would also be held," the minister said, speaking to media outside the Supreme Court after the hearing of Panama Leaks case.

"The name of your mother late Benazir Bhutto also cropped up in the leaked Panama documents," he addressed Bilawal, saying, "This cannot happen that your predecessors commit robberies and you become 'Haji, Namazi' simply by performing ablution".

Hitting out at the PPP chairman, Abid Sher Ali lambasted, "The PPP chairman delivers speeches like 'Anty Zareena' only to hide their corruption".

Chandio advises PM to 'rein in his foul-mouthed minister'

The minister was shortly responded by PPP leader and Adviser to Sindh CM on Information Moula Bux Chandio, who warned Abid Sher Ali to not abuse, for this tone of his would increase between the two political parties.

"Nawaz-league is perplexed due to Panama Leaks and it would not spare them; it would thrash them," he said. "Do not abuse, do not attack someone's family for we also know about you."

Chandio also advised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to 'rein in his foul-mouthed minister', who also happens to be his relative. "If you didn't stop your minister, then I would tell my leader that we can't hold any consultation with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)."

"Your anxiety indicates that you have been trapped in Panama Leaks," the provincial adviser said.

He further shamed Abid Sher Ali for speaking about case on which 'Mian sahib' apologised former PM Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari.

PM intervenes to lower political temperature

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif intervened to placate the PPP leaders.

Taking notice of Abid's diatribe, PM Nawaz directed the minister to avoid making inappropriate statements.
