KARACHI: The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has included the name of Yasir Khan as replacement of M Abid Ali Akbar for Davis Cup semi-final tie against Hong Kong.
The semi final of Asia Oceania group II will be played between Pakistan and Hong Kong in Islamabad from April 7 to April 9.
The PTF had earlier named Mohammad Abid Ali Akbar in the team, but he conveyed his unavailability due to personal reasons which forced PTF to include Yasir Khan’s name in the squad. Other team members include Aisamul Haq, Aqeel Khan and Muhammad Abid Mushtaq.
Muhammad Khalid Siddique has been appointed as the non-playing captain and Mushaf Zia, another former Davis Cupper, will be the team manager and coach.
The preparatory camp of Pakistan Tennis team for the Davis Cup tie against Hong Kong will commence on Tuesday in Lahore, under supervision of Mohammad Khalid Siddique.
