According to a leading Indian tabloid, when Sridevi was asked about her daughter Jhanvi's Bollywood debut, she said, "Jhanvi wanted to do SOTY 2 and initially, I wasn’t in favour. I don’t think it’s a bad industry. I am a creation of this world. But as a parent, it would give me greater joy to see her married. But her happiness matters more, and if she does well as an actress, I will be a proud mother."
