KARACHI: The major arteries of the metropolitan city experienced major traffic jams following rainfall on Wednesday.
Commuters returning home from work are stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on roads of the city including I.I. Chundrigar and Shahrah-e-Faisal.
According to reports, water has accumulated on roads throughout the city and several motorcyclists have slipped.
The Meteorological Office said that the most rainfall was recorded in Gulshan-e-Hadeed with 8.5mm, followed by in Landhi with 4.5mm. Areas around PAF Base Faisal received 2mm rain.
The MET office has predicted that the process of light drizzle in the city could continue for some time.
Earlier, residents of Karachi welcomed the rainfall which led to the weather turning pleasant in the city.
The metropolis also received light showers in the wee hours of Tuesday.
