PM Abbasi discusses political situation, development projects with Sindh CM, governor

Premier arrived in capital on Sunday on a two-day visit

KARACHI: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi met Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Monday.

Sources said the two discussed the ongoing development projects in the province which are funded by the federal government, as well as the present political situation of the province and country.

Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair was also present in the meeting.

Abbasi arrived in Karachi Sunday night on a two-day visit. 

He is expected to visit Port Qasim later today to inaugurate the second LNG terminal, built at a cost of Rs50 billion.

Earlier, Radio Pakistan reported that the premier said the federal government will complete all development projects in Sindh, including in Karachi.

He reportedly made the comments in a meeting with the governor.

Matters of law and order, ongoing development projects and trade activities were discussed in the meeting.

The premier said Karachi is the lifeline of the country and steps are being taken for durable peace and law and order in the city.

The governor informed the prime minister that after the completion of projects under Karachi Development Package, the problems of citizens will be resolved to a great extent.
