KARACHI: Team Pakistan aim to consolidate top spot in the t20I rankings by clean-sweeping the three-match series against West Indies tonight.

Though Pakistan has already taken a decisive 2-0 lead in the three-match series against West Indies, the Sarfraz-team would lose the top position to Australia, if the green shirts lose the game against the visiting side.

Pakistan has dominated the series, winning the first match by 143 runs and the second by 82 runs. Pakistan’s top order has been brilliant with an unbeaten 97 by Babar Azam in the second match and Hussain Talat scoring 41 and 62 during the series.

Separately, former Pakistan test captain Ramiz Raja has credited skipper Sarfraz Ahmed for choosing a high-quality team in the ongoing West Indies series.

“It is not easy to captain a young team,” he said. “Sarfraz has supported the team. We have to give the credit to him for winning the series.”
