ECC approves supply of upto 25mmfcd additional gas to SNGPL

ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Tuesday approved supply of upto 25 million cubic feet per day (mmfcd) of additional gas from Adhi Gas Field to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) to meet the existing gas demand on the system.

The meeting, chaired by Finance Minister Asad Umar, approved the energy ministry's proposal.

ECC also discussed the proposal for fuel supply agreement between Pakistan State Oil and State Oil Company of Republic of Azerbaijan.

The committee advised the ministry to carry out further consultations with stakeholders including Ministry of Commerce and Public Procurement Regulatory Authority before a final decision in the matter.
