Actor Paris Jackson late Saturday slammed an international media outlet for falsely reporting that she was "hospitalized after attempted suicide".

"You [expletive] liars," she wrote on her Twitter account, responding directly to tabloid news media website TMZ, which had published a story saying the model, daughter of late pop singer Michael Jackson, "was hospitalized Saturday after she attempted suicide".

The publication added that the alleged suicide attempt was "due in large to the fallout from 'Leaving Neverland'" — a documentary relating the story of two boys who were reportedly sexually abused by Michael Jackson for a long period of time.

Shortly afterwards, the UK's Daily Mail followed up with a similar story.

In an update, TMZ said she "was just released from the hospital and she's under the care of her team".

She also tweeted a lot of question marks, in apparent disbelief over what could be called fake news, with an unamused emoji.
