The mystery surrounding SUGA’s whereabouts may have just gotten a little less mysterious.
After six BTS members were seen returning to South Korea following the North American leg of the group’s ongoing ARIRANG World Tour, fans were quick to notice that SUGA was not among them.
The absence immediately prompted BTS ARMY to wonder where Yoongi had gone.
Reportedly, he stayed behind in Los Angeles for a separate personal or professional schedule after the U.S. leg of BTS's tour, while the other members returned to South Korea.
Now, SUGA himself appears to have offered fans a small clue.
The rapper took to his Instagram Stories on Saturday, September 12, to share a photograph from what appears to be a Japanese supermarket or convenience store.
The picture shows shelves stocked with Japanese instant noodles and other snacks, with the rapper adding the Korean phrase “반갑고만,” which translates roughly to “Nice to see you.”
A fan account also claimed that the K-pop idol was at a Japanese supermarket/convenience store, sending fans into a frenzy as they connected the seemingly ordinary grocery-store snapshot with the recent questions surrounding his location.
The photo does not, however, independently confirm exactly where SUGA is or why he did not travel back to South Korea alongside the other members.
