MULTAN: The Child Protection & Welfare Bureau's (CPWB) Multan chapter said Tuesday they safely recovered four children who had resorted to begging and garbage-picking owing to their parents' negligence and lack of attention.

A spokesperson for the CPWB, Naveed Mukhtar, said the four children had been recovered from Timber Market and Vehari Road and that the organisation had taken them into its custody.

Mukhtar added that two of the recovered children were aged seven and 12 and the other two were both aged 10. He added that a search for the kids' parents was underway but until they were identified, the children would be moved to and kept in the rehabilitation centre.
