ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has welcomed the Indian offer to help in rescue efforts for the retrieval of the soldiers trapped in the Siachen avalanche tragedy, Geo News reported.
Foreign Office spokesman, Abdul Basit said the Giyari sector avalanche catastrophe and the rescue efforts for retrieval of the Pakistani soldiers buried over there also came under Sunday’s discussions held during President Asif Ali Zardari’s meeting with the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The spokesman further said that Pakistan appreciates the Indian offer to help in rescue operation.
