LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Likeminded (LM) Punjab President Ata Muhammad Manika has withdrawn the resignation he tendered Saturday over a dispute with the party leadership, Geo News reported.

LM General Secretary Humayun Akhtar met Punjab faction chief Manika to resolve the matter.

Ata Saturday resigned from his post on making electoral alliance with PML-N. While taking to the media, he said that the party did not consult him before making an electoral alliance with PML-N.

A party statement issued here said Manika would continue to hold the office of party's Punjab President. Praising his services, Akhtar said leaders like him are assets for the party.
