Making no excuses for the way his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers (Cavs) played on Thursday, Jarrett Allen accepted that their performance was “unacceptable”.

Due to the Cavs’s off-track performance, Magic took advantage as Allen’s side was sloppy both on offense and defence, reported Sports Illustrated.

"It's on us," Allen said after the match.

"We had 17 turnovers and that's unacceptable for what we're trying to do. Just mental errors. It was a lot of just throwing the ball out of bounds. I know I had a couple where I just lost the ball, it slipped. We were just all making mistakes."

The Cavaliers experienced 18 turnovers in their game against the Magic. Orlando capitalised on these errors, converting them into 28 points that ultimately contributed to their victory. As JA pointed out, many of these turnovers were atypical mistakes that the Cavs seldom make.

Allen said the rival team also sped up the game and got physical with the Cavs, making them uncomfortable, which might also be the reason why the Cavaliers made errors.

Having said that, Allen also stated that the defeat against the Magic served as a valuable test, contributing to their growth in the remaining 28 games leading up to the playoffs.
