Fans are usually excited by Lionel Messi's free kicks, but one supporter in the crowd was not entirely amused during Inter Miami's Major League Soccer (MLS) match against Orlando City, which Miami won 5-0.

During the second half of Sunday's match in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Argentine superstar bagged a stunning brace in six minutes which left the crowd in complete awe.

However, as Messi attempted a hat-trick after the brace, his free-kick went wide of the post and hit a baby girl in the stands, behind the goalpost.

The moment the ball struck the young girl, who started crying immediately after, is captured on camera. The girl's family then quickly consoled her but her father responded in a witty way.

"Are you okay, my love? Messi hit you anyway, huh. Nothing’s wrong," he said as he filmed the entire incident, according to the Mirror.

Messi scored his first goal in the match, thanks to a chance from Jordi Alba who made a run, passing the ball to Suarez at the penalty box's edge.

The Spaniard's finish was deflected off the bar, and Messi rolled it into the net.

For his second goal, Messi was assisted by Suarez, who also scored his second assist of the match.

Inter Miami counterattacked, and Suarez received the ball in the left flank, sending a curling cross to Messi who headed it in for a goal.

Speaking after the match, Messi said, "We're doing well, we're enjoying it, we're growing. Today was an important match to win, to continue on this path of growth and this has to make us very strong for everything that's to come."
