Amazon founder Jeff Bezos on Wednesday reclaimed his position as the world's second-richest person just a day after Tesla head Elon Musk toppled him, Forbes reported.

However, Bezos, 60, still trails behind LVMH magnate Bernard Arnault, 75, who is currently the world's richest person.

Bezos’ net worth stands at $201.5 billion, the result of a $511 million daily jolt driven in part by a narrow climb in Amazon shares, which crawled up over 0.5% as of noon on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Musk, 52, with a $198.4 billion net worth, was ranked third after his electric vehicle manufacturing company recorded a 3% drop in shares on Wednesday, to roughly $181 per share.

Tesla shares have rebounded by nearly 28% in the past month, partly due to a reported agreement between Tesla and Chinese internet giant Baidu to bring the EVs to China.

Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink and X had ranked first or second on Forbes’ real-time billionaire list from August 2021 to March 6, when Bezos knocked him down to third.

Since then, Bezos and Musk have been caught up in a battle of net worth flip-flops, with the billionaire snatching the lead from one another on 13 separate occasions during March alone.

According to Forbes, Arnault, the world’s richest man, has a net worth of roughly $205.9 billion, which is why he reigns the list putting him $5 billion ahead of Bezos, despite a sizeable drop in the LVMH magnate’s net worth on Wednesday.
