Kesha just named the inspiration behind her latest single!

After the 37-year-old singer dropped her latest track, Delusional, on Friday, she gave credit to her “idiot ex” for the musical result.

In the lyrics it is hinted how she took assistance from her now ex-boyfriend, to help her write the song, slamming him for being "just another song on my setlist" before singing:

"Baby you're delusional/Thinking you could ever find/Something that's as beautiful/Someone with a love like mine.".

Kesha has been teasing this track for a while as she mentioned previously how her ex might just have something to be worried about, tweeting earlier this week, "My ex should hide on friday."

Then, sharing a clip of the song, the Blow singer captioned it, "Thanks to my idiot ex. u inspired my best song yet."

Details about who the musician’s ex is and why they split up remains under wraps, however earlier this year, Kesha did tell ELLE how her boyfriend broke up with her because she took someone else to one of Taylor Swift’s parties.

"I had a feeling that he was in it for the wrong reasons and was a bit of a starf***er," she mentioned, adding, "I decided to test that theory and took one of my friends instead of him to Taylor Swift's party. He came over the next day and broke up with me."
