Gypsy-Rose Blanchard has finalised her bitter divorce from Ryan Scott Anderson.
The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up star, 33, filed for divorce in April after announcing their split in a Facebook post on March 28.
The couple, who tied the knot in a jailhouse ceremony with no guests in July 2022, had split only three months after her release in December 2023.
Soon after, Blanchard was spotted with her ex-fiancé Ken Urker, with whom she is expecting her first child, due January 2025.
The official divorce also coincides with the release of her new book My Time to Stand, out on December 10, 2024.
Just days before the book's release, the former inmate and victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy made some shocking remarks about her tumultuous love life.
"I still struggled when I first came out of prison," Blanchard told People Magazine, referring to her experience with physical intimacy after being released from Missouri's Chillicothe Correctional Facility where she served eight of a 10-year sentence for being complicit in the murder of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard.
"Ryan and my sex life was not ideal. I told him privately. Maybe it was a lack of attraction in that area or if I still wasn't processing properly."
Contrary to her recent remarks, Blanchard painted a different picture years ago about her physical intimacy with Anderson, a Louisiana special education teacher, who she'd wed behind bars in 2022 after she and Urker ended their previous engagement.
"Don’t listen to the haters,” she commented on one of Anderson’s Instagram posts in January, defending him against an onslaught of negative comments he was receiving. “Besides, they jealous because you are rocking my world every night,” she added. “Yeah, I said it, the D is fire.”
However, recent reports also cite that a lot more went into their divorce, as per a friend of Blanchard's, the couple went through a heated argument in March and that Blanchard thought her husband was “controlling.”
"He got in her face and screamed," friend Nadiya Vizier, 23, told People Magazine in April.
"Gypsy said that she was afraid he was going to hit her. He didn't—but that happened in the past with her mother. So, her first instinct was to tighten up and be prepared. But she got to safety and called her lawyer, too. Ryan is a big guy, and she told me it was really scary."
