A new major role has been announced for Prince William amid reports the Prince of Wales is ‘seizing’ more power as his father King Charles weakens.
This has been disclosed by royal expert Cameron Walker on X, formerly Twitter handle.
Sharing a report, Cameron tweeted, “NEW: The Prince of Wales has become Patron of the College of Paramedics and will attend their first-ever Emergency and Critical Care Conference in Birmingham later today.”
Meanwhile, in its report, the GB News claims the conference will focus on supporting emergency responders in making crucial decisions under pressure, drawing on Prince William's extensive experience in emergency services.
Earlier, the College of Paramedics received its Royal Charter from William’s father King Charles in February 2024.
Prince William’s new role has been announced days after the In Touch Weekly, citing royal insiders, reported the Prince of Wales assumes more and more official responsibility that he “has never been more influential” than he is now.
The report further says with King Charles battling cancer and frankly getting up there in age, the monarch “is now bestowing more responsibility on [William] and by all accounts is acknowledging that his time to rule will be sooner, rather than later.”
