LAHORE: Pakistan’s international cricket umpire Asad Rauf will hold a press conference to brief the media about the spot fixing scandal, recently revealed in India during the Indian Premier League matches, also involving some Indian cricketers.
He remained tight-lipped despite reaching home, even before the emergence of the scandal.
Sources closed to the umpire told that he was avoiding media apparently due to ICC restrictions.
However, the sources said that Rauf had requested the ICC to allow him to hold a press conference to clarify his position on spot fixing charges.
Now he will hold the press conference on Wednesday at 3:00 pm here at a wedding lawn in Shad Bagh to brief the media after the ICC allowed him.
