KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange ended lower on Monday, Geo News reported.
The benchmark 100-Index shed 0.93 percent, or 208.22 points, to close lower at 22,150.74.
Pakistan Petroleum Ltd went down 1.51 percent to close at Rs215.60, while Engro Corporation Ltd was lost 1.71 percent to settle down at Rs143.40.
The apex bourse witnessed across the board selling pressure and profit-taking, which landed in the red zone.
In the currency market, the rupee closed weaker at 98.51/98.56 against the dollar, as compared to Friday's close of 98.48/98.53.
Overnight rates in the money market fell to 9.40 percent from Friday's close of 9.50 percent.
