Prince Harry’s many legal battles have taken a toll on the Duke, per a source.
In the past few years, Harry has had multiple court cases, including his lawsuit against The Sun newspaper for intruding into his private matters. After stepping down as a working royal, he also fought against the U.K. Home Office for downgrading his security.
He settled the case against The Sun, with Rupert Murdoch agreeing to pay the Prince substantial damages. However, Harry’s high court appeal against the Home Office didn’t go in his favor, with the judge siding with the government department.
After he lost the appeal, he sat down with the BBC and shared his thoughts in an interview, alleging that the ruling was an “establishment stitch-up” and also sharing that his father King Charles, “won’t speak” to him due to the security row.
Now, an insider says the legal matters have taken their toll on the Prince.
"It's taken its toll. He sees things everywhere, he picks battles with everybody, and that's tiring. You can't live in permanent battle mode. You're a 40-year-old man. You've got to stop fighting the world," they said, per the Express.
During the interview, Harry also said that he doesn’t know “how long my father has” and that he’d “love reconciliation with my family, there's no point in continuing to fight anymore.”
“Life is precious, I don't know how much longer my father has, he won't speak to me because of this security stuff," he continued.
