Prince William and Kate Middleton are still awaiting to receive a major royal privilege.
It was reported that King Charles has postponed the Prince and Princess of Wales' royal warrants.
Now, royal experts Emily Nash and Robert Jobson have discussed the real reason behind the delay, as reported by Hello! Magazine.
In the latest episode of A Right Royal podcast, Robert suggested that King Charles and Queen Camilla are still managing their own royal warrants, saying, "There's been a delay. There's always a bit of a delay."
He went on to explain that "Remember that we haven't seen a transition in the Crown for some time, so we've had to deal with the King and the Queen first."
"That's taken some time because they have to go through all sorts of stringent tests and I think that it will happen in due course, but it's just that we're going through the King and Queen first, and you don't just get awarded a royal warrant, it's a lot involved," Robert added further.
Notably, Kate, wife of Prince William will become the first Princess of Wales to grant royal warrants since 1910. However, Emily noted, "There hasn't been a Princess of Wales who's been able to issue warrants for about a century, really."
"There hasn't been a Princess of Wales who's been able to issue warrants for about a century, really," she added.
Discussing how the future King and Queen would be feeling about the delay in their royal privilege, both Emily and Robert agreed that it is not Prince William and Kate Middleton's "priority" right now.
