King Charles makes major move after fresh Harry, Meghan security alert

King Charles took a wise step as he brought together top industry leaders, farmers and chefs at Dumfries House this week to drive a major push to reshape food systems.

The 77-year-old was in high spirits as he attended the high-profile summit to discuss sustainable farming, hands-on education and tackling food waste.

The King's appearance at the event comes amid reports that his daughter-in-law Meghan Markle faced a security breach after a phone number was leaked from a group, allegedly linked to Archie and Lilibet's school in the UK.

The summit was organised by The King's Foundation alongside the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance and the Sustainable Food Trust. The monarch joined participants as the two-day gathering in Scotland.

The event, which ran on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, assembled a wide-ranging group of UK and international figures, including former US Secretary of State John Kerry, doctor and television presenter Chris van Tulleken and farmer and broadcaster Jimmy Doherty.

This year's gathering followed the inaugural Harmony Summit held at Highgrove Gardens in 2025.

Central to the event is the King’s Harmony philosophy, which holds that enduring prosperity rests on maintaining equilibrium between people, place and planet.

Delegates examined the urgent need to shift away from extractive methods of agriculture towards food production that operates in concert with the natural world.

The leaders outlined the case for regenerative farming as vital to maintaining healthy soils, ensuring farm profitability and safeguarding the planet's long-term wellbeing.

They explored how such approaches could protect both human health and environmental resilience for future generations.
