Amber Heard has been making big decisions related to her comeback in Hollywood after a legal drama with ex-husband, Johnny Depp.
Since her legal defeat with the 66-year-old actor in 2022, the 39-year-old has been living in Madrid, Spain. She is reportedly 'actively seeking' movie roles to regain her career.
Following this, a source who is close to the Hollywood actress, candidly shared with In Touch on which terms she will join a project.
“Amber is dealing with a tricky situation right now because there’s real demand for her to get back into the acting game somehow, but it’s not going to happen if it’s not entirely on her terms,” the insider said.
Revealing her conditions for signing any project, the source continued, “She has special conditions for coming back and is only entertaining that idea when it’s a project where she will have a lot of say on the big decisions about the production, the marketing and the release.”
Meanwhile, the insider noted that it’s the first time when she is “being assertive about her filmmaking future and demanding some real power.”
“You can’t help but figure that even though she wants nothing to do with Johnny, she’s pulling from his playbook a little bit here, because Johnny is so famous for refusing to make any movie unless he’s the one calling the shots,” the source added.
Before concluding, the insider shared, “She needs to build up a new track record of hits, and quickly. She’s putting herself under pressure to find her comeback film, and the clock is ticking!”
For those unversed, Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard for defamation after she wrote an opinion article on domestic violence in 2018. In the end, a Virginia jury originally awarded him with $15 million in damages, while she received $2 million.
