Prince William discusses private estate in rare interview

Prince William spoke to the UK's leading newspaper in a rare interaction  earlier this month to discuss his plans about Duchy of Cornwall, a private estate which funds his public, charitable, and private activities.

The Duchy of Cornwall is a hereditary title and estate that is passed down to the eldest son of the British monarch.

The estate generates income for him and his family, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The Prince of Wales "allowed The Telegraph to join him on what has become known as a “Duchy day” for the first time since he took it over."

According to the newspaper it also interviewed tenants and senior staff, who are working to bring the future king's vision to life, to provide "the clearest picture yet of the 42-year-old Prince in a new phase of life"

The eldest son of King Charles inherited the Duchy of Cornwall upon his father's a accession to the throne after Queens Elizabeth's death.

According to the Telegraph, William is leading it with a reforming zeal and a refreshing disregard for formality.

"He is, unmistakably, a man on a mission: to reform his Duchy so it is fit for 2025 and beyond; a "positive force for good that "make people's lives better"

"We are not the traditional landowner," William told Telegraph "We want to be more than that"
