Unexpected royal woman to join Prince William for royal duty

Prince William will attend the Royal Cornwall show on Friday, June 6, according to the British media.

William will not be accompanied by his wife, Kate Middleton, during his upcoming royal engagement.

According to reports, the Prince of Wales, who is Duke of Cornwall and Patron of The Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association, will be joined by The Duchess of Edinburgh, the Vice President of the RCAA.

Prince William and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh are said to have a close bond, especially as King Charles and Princess Catherine were undergoing cancer treatments. 

While King Charles continues to perform royal duties in the UK and abroad as his cancer treatment remains underway, the Princess of Wales is making a gradual return to royal engagements.

She recently visited Scotland to attend the naming ceremony of a warship where she was joined by her husband.

Duchess Sophie, the wife of Prince Edward, often represents King Charles on important occasions in the UK and abroad.
