King Charles has been warned of serious consequences if he does not make amends with Prince Harry and the feud continues.
Royal commentator Valentine Low said that the emotional distance between the King and the Duke of Sussex, especially following Harry’s BBC interview, is deepening the divide.
In his interview, Harry claimed that Charles “won’t speak to me” and voiced concern over his father’s health.
His comments have further complicated the chance of reconciliation even though experts believe Harry had no ill intention.
“It wasn’t meant to be an attack, but it would be seen as one,” Low said of Harry’s candid interview.
Speaking with People Magazine, Low said she believes there is no one close to the King urging him to take the first step.
Revealing if there still is any chances of reconciliation, she said there was not a “good angel” in Charles ear convincing him to “be a good dad and make the first move.”
Furthermore, Low said the public understands what King Charles is going through and believes people can “separate the private drama from his public role.”
“This is a family rift rather than a constitutional rift — it’s what happens to families. Both sides have to reach a point where they realise they can’t carry on as they are."
