Meghan Markle’s key product from her brand As Ever’s new product launch has been bashed for not being top quality.
Jam-maker Donna Collins slammed Meghan’s new "spread" as "failed jam."
Collins remarked, "It's a real disappointment that Meghan is selling a fruit spread, which is what you make when your jam fails."
"In the jam industry, a spread is what we call something that didn't work. It can have the best ingredients, but if I had a jam that was too runny, I'd slap a label on it and call it a spread," she explained to Daily Mail.
"There's no excuse for this. It should be perfect," she declared.
Collins also criticized the brand for selling out in minutes, saying, "Her apricot spread sold out in minutes, just like her earlier raspberry spread, which may mean they only made a small batch."
"I don't know who's making her spread, but we all know it's not Meghan. It sounds like they really don't know what they are doing," she remarked.
Meghan first launched her brand in April and the products sold out in around 30 minutes. The brand restocked and launched more products recently and sold out in minutes again.
The mom-of-two took to Instagram to share her success, writing, "Our shelves may be empty, but my heart is full!"
Meghan Markle added, "We sold out in less than one hour, and I can’t thank you enough…for celebrating, purchasing, sharing, and believing. It’s just the start @aseverofficial [party-popper emoji] Here we go!"
