Shortly after news of Kate Middleton’s absence from Royal Ascot came out, social media was filled with comments by critics and royal fans alike, sharing their two cents on the move.

Claims against the venue also came out, stating that they were the ones who made an error in withdrawing Kate’s name before the official list went out.

At the time, the only statement via the princess was that she was ‘disappointed’ in having to make this decision but needed to balance her engagements after a lengthy week of Trooping of Colour appearances, and the Garter Day service.

This prompted an insider to also come forward and deliver a worrying claim about the dangers that follow the royal, despite being cancer-free for months.

According to The Daily Beast they began by saying, “On some levels I actually think this is a good reminder that she was really seriously ill last year and underwent a significant period of chemo.”

It is pertinent to mention that the type of cancer Kate Middletown battled was never disclosed, the only information available was that she underwent preventative chemotherapy after having a planned abdominal surgery earlier in the same year.

This led the insider to echo a clarification in his concluding statement, one that reads “as anyone who has been through that experience will tell you, you can feel very unwell for a long time afterwards. It can take years [to recover].”
