King Charles and Queen Camilla made an appearance at St Asaph Cathedral to make a historic move in honour of the royal family's centuries-old tradition.
The royal couple arrived in North Wales for the Royal Maundy Service today, April 2.
According to a royal family's fan page, "It is the first time the Royal Maundy Service has been held in Wales since 1982 and only the second time in its history."
It is important to note that Charles' mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, participated in the Maundy Service, where she presented money to individuals who made significant contributions to their communities.
This tradition dates back to 600 AD, and the royals used to perform every year on the Thursday before Easter.
Early in her reign, the Queen used to visit a different cathedral or abbey each year to recognise the efforts made by local communities across the country.
