Julie Chrisley opened up about how she felt after seeing her husband, Todd Chrisley, for the first time in two years following their releases from prison.

For the unversed, the 52-year-old television personality and her husband were found guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud in 2022.

On Sunday, June 29, the couple talked about their May 28 release from prison in an ABC News Studios special, which aired on Disney+ and Hulu. It will also premiere on GMA on June 30.

Julie said of her reunion with Todd, “I was a little nervous. Just because, you know, you think, ‘Oh my gosh, I’ve been away this long.’ But then, when I saw him, it was as if no time had passed.”

While Todd went on to admit that the idea of being back together felt “weird” because he never really believed he and Julie were away from each other.

“And you know for me, it’s just weird, because she was never away from me. Even the whole time we were apart. She was with me every second, every breath that I took,” the 56-year-old American media personality explained.

“I mean, when I saw her, I was grateful to wrap my arms around her, but it was just more like, ‘I’m home,’” Tod conceded.

It is pertinent to mention that both parents of Savannah Chrisley were released after President Donald Trump granted the couple full pardons on May 27, which ended the rest of their prison time.
