For the first time ever the Royal Family has shared a message in celebration of Pride in London parade, sharing a video of the Household Division band performing outside the Buckingham Palace.
The post, made under the reign of King Charles III, represented a significant departure from royal tradition and has triggered a wave of mixed reactions online.
Many social media users praised King Charles and Queen Camilla for the public show of support.
However, not everyone welcomed the move. Some critics argued that the late Queen Elizabeth II would not have approved. “Queen Elizabeth would never have approved this,” one commenter wrote, while others questioned whether the royal household should take public stances on such topics.
The division highlights ongoing tensions over the evolving role of the British monarchy in public life.
Meanwhile, local media reported that King Charles and Queen Camilla have returned from Scotland after performing a series of royal duties.
Upon his return, the king on Friday welcomed the Sultan of Oman at the Windsor Castle and had tea with his guest.
