Julia Haworth, actress who played Claire Peacock on the famous show Coronation Street, left the soap 15 years ago this week and now fans are wondering what she's been doing.
The 46-year-old star first made an appearance on ITV soap in 2003 as Ashley Peacock’s nanny for his young son Joshua.
Julia’s character then fell in love with Ashley and became a member of the Peacock family after getting married.
On the show, Claire went through some very emotional storylines as she faced postpartum depression after having her son Freddie.
Later, she also suffered the death of her husband during the show’s famous tram disaster in 2010.
In January 2011, her character left Weatherfield and moved to France to start a new life.
Julia decided to say her goodbye to Coronation Street after its producer Phil Collinson didn’t renew her contract, saying that it was a right time for the actors to explore new projects other than just this show.
After leaving the famous soap, the star continued acting in television where she appeared in Doctors, The Bay, The Royals, Call the Midwife, and A Kind of Spark.
Back in 2018, Julia pursued her career in teaching, while sharing her acting knowledge at Bolton College to guide and inspire future actors.
