Eugene Mirman, ‘Bob's Burgers' voice actor, pulled from burning car after crash

Eugene Mirman, the comedian best known as the voice of Gene Belcher on Fox’s Bob’s Burgers, has been hospitalized with serious injuries after a fiery single-car crash in Bedford, New Hampshire.

Authorities said Mirman’s 2026 Lucid Gravity struck the Bedford Toll Plaza on the F.E. Everett Turnpike shortly before noon Tuesday.

The vehicle caught fire with Mirman trapped inside, leading to a dramatic rescue.

Among the bystanders were New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte and a veteran state trooper assigned to her security detail who instantly went to his rescue.

They pulled him to safety through the car’s window.

“Certainly, their actions were heroic in what they did,” State Police Col. Mark B. Hall stated.

“Without hesitation, they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need of it.”

No charges have been filed, and the crash remains under investigation.
