Todd Bridges has officially filed for divorce from Bettijo B. Hirschi, marking the end of their marriage just three months after announcing their separation.
The Diff’rent Strokes alum submitted documents in Maricopa County, Arizona, on March 31, citing the marriage as “irretrievably broken.”
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the 60-year-old filed a petition for Dissolution of Marriage Without Minor Children in Maricopa County on March 31.
He cited the divorce reason as “irretrievably broken.”
Both Bridges and Hirschi are representing themselves, with no community property, debts, or spousal support involved.
The couple reached a mutual agreement outside of court to settle remaining terms.
Bridges and Hirschi married in September 2022 after nine months of dating.
They met in January of that year through a dating app profile created by Hirschi’s friend.
Six months later, Bridges proposed, and the couple tied the knot in a small ceremony.
Together, they blended their families, Bridges shares two adult children with his first wife, while Hirschi has four children from a previous marriage.
They also collaborated professionally launching the DANG! podcast in 2024.
In January, Bridges announced their separation in a heartfelt statement to PEOPLE:
“After much prayer and reflection, my spouse and I have made the difficult decision to separate… I thank God for the time we’ve had together, the lessons we’ve learned, and the family we’ve built.” He asked for privacy as both moved forward with “healing, peace, and new beginnings.”
This is Bridges’ second divorce.
He was previously married to Dori Bridges from 1998 to 2012.
