Angelina Jolie makes major revelation about dating since Brad Pitt divorce

Angelina Jolie has revealed she has not dated anyone since separating from Brad Pitt a decade ago, and suggested that her daughters are now quietly encouraging her to rediscover that part of herself.

Speaking to Yahoo! Entertainment in an interview published on 22 June, the actress was candid about how completely she had set aside her romantic life in the years since the split.

"To be candid, I haven't dated since I divorced a decade ago. So I kind of get in my head that that aspect of me is not centered in my life if I'm focusing on my children, my family," she said.

Jolie, 51, has six children with Pitt, Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 20, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17, and has spent much of the past decade navigating both single parenthood and a protracted legal battle with her ex-husband.

Their divorce was not finalised until 2024, eight years after she first filed.

The interview was pegged to her new film Couture , in which she plays a filmmaker who rediscovers herself after a breast cancer diagnosis, a role she connected to deeply given her own 2013 preventative double mastectomy after discovering she carries the BRCA1 gene mutation.
