BBC legend shares painful update as cancer spreads further

Bob Harris has shared a difficult health update, telling his fans that the cancer he has been living with for years has now spread further in his body.

The BBC Radio 2 presenter, known to many as Whispering Bob, was first diagnosed back in 2007.

Recently, he was taken to hospital after dealing with severe pain in his back and after some tests and scans, doctors found out that the cancer moved from his prostate to his upper spine, something which he described as “really frightening news.”

Bob explained that the past few weeks have been very tough, calling it an extremely testing time.

Soon after finding that out, the TV icon started radiotherapy and spent around two weeks in hospital.

He, however, now returned home and shared that he is slowly starting to feel stronger again.

The father of eight also talked about the support he received during this time, saying that his family stood by him through one of the hardest moments of his life, thanking his colleagues at BBC Radio 2 as well for being there for him.

Despite everything, Bob Harris remains hopeful and is already thinking about returning to his shows.
