Jason Knauf, who worked as Prince William's communications secretary and currently runs the Earthshot Prize, has revealed big truth about the future king and his project.
In conversation with a media person, the Prince of Wales' right-hand man explained the air-conditioning struggles, revealing how Earthshot Prize helps lower energy bills.
It comes after William arrived in style to attend the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit at London's Guildhall on a very unique bus to showcase some of the solutions the environmental prize had produced over the last five years.
Rising energy bills and a cost of living crisis have alarmingly turned many people off making sacrifices for the sake of the planet.
Jason Knauf claims Prince William's ambitious mission could help change the narrative.
In conversation with GB News, Knauf said: "You ask people: Do they care about nature? Do they care about the world that their kids or grandkids are going to grow up with? Yes, they do.
"Every corner of the earth, people really, really care about this. If you are living here in the UK, if you're a family that's on the frontlines of the climate crisis in Bangladesh, you have the same aspirations for your children."
He went on, "You want the world to be better. It's a really simple message that starts with belief. But then, you know, we actually have the solutions we need."
Expalining how they can cope with the crisis, William's aide said, "They're not going to be more expensive. They will help to bring down the bills that we pay. They will make the goods that we buy healthier for us to consume and use, and also will cost less and last longer.
"This stuff is now happening, and it's not theoretical. I think we sometimes become accustomed to telling ourselves that things just won't work, or we can't do big things.
"Our job with the Earthshot Prize is to remind everyone that we've always done big things, and we're going to do big things, and even better, things will be achieved in the future.
"It's not an empty, optimistic message. It's grounded in reality. And that's the story we're going to tell."
To a questioon about William, he responded: "I think the best part of working with the prince is that the guy you see out in public is the same person behind the scenes, so he's open. He's energetic. He's always pushing all of us to do more, but then also asking what people need from him."
He lavished praise on his boss, saying: "So he's really hands-on with his sleeves rolled up. And that's why we all work with him at Earthshot."
In November, the future British monarch will be taking his Earthshot Prize to Mumbai, India, and Kensington Palace has not ruled out the possibility of the Princess of Wales accompanying him.
